Players choose the crime, appearance, and class of their Marked Inquisitor before conducting the rite that put them into the Spellmarked state between life and death. Magic is corrupting the land, giving rise to monstrous creatures and ravenous undead, and the source of all of this destruction, Mages, must be hunted and their hearts devoured if the Kingdom is to survive. The game takes place in the Alterstone Kingdom, where criminals can either opt for execution or live in service as Marked Inquisitors tasked with hunter down Mages. Salt and Sanctuary seamlessly combines fast, brutal, and complex 2D combat with richly developed RPG mechanics. Salt And Sacrifice is a 2D metroidvania hunt-a-thon that casts you as a condemned prisoner in an imperiled kingdom. Like its predecessor, Salt and Sacrifice is a side-scrolling action RPG. It will be priced at $19.99 and include English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese language support. It'll probably come to the Switch at some point, this is a small studio so it takes them a bit to port.
